Davina's robes billowed around her small frame as she scurried down the corridors, voices still echoing off the walls from the Great Hall. Her mind was buzzing as her stomach churned uneasily. The voices soon faded and she found herself in an unknown corridor, silence being the only comfort. Darkness engulfed the hallway, leaving her eyes to turn everything into a nightmarish creature, waiting to corrupt her mind and destroy her very being.
She slid down the wall, shivering as her spine felt the coldness erupting from the wall.
Everything had been amazing since she came this year, but now she couldn't even laugh without feeling the guilt worm its way into her head. As she talked with her friends, their faces became distorted and resembled that of her father, who was sitting in a dark abyss, the happiness being sucked from his essence. He was steadily fading in that prison and Davina couldn't do anything.
She let out a large puff of air before running a hand through her hair. She was hoping that being here would relieve the nagging feeling, but all she got was that drowning feeling in a sea of people. All who were free. She was hoping that if she didn't see his face, it would fade. Davina didn't want it to fade, but seeing his fae sunken in and his eyes dark made her die inside. Davina promised to visit him, along with her promise to be happy. She had already managed to break that promise to her father.
